This hunting lease is leased and not available. Base Camp Leasing has a 52 acre hunting lease available for immediate lease in Cayuga County, New York. This hunting lease is located in WMU (7H) and is located about 20 miles NW of Cortland, New York. The area around Moravia has a reputation for having a large deer herd. This property consists of 52 acres of mature woods. Along the access road on the west you have a mixture of pines, oak and some walnut. Toward the east end of the property there are mostly oak with some scattered beech. The hunting lease is very easy walking. There is a very small slope on the east end of the property. I jumped 3 deer under a couple beech trees. The ground had lots of beech nuts which they were feeding on. The main access trail is in the SW corner and runs almost kitty corner to the NE corner. The first 100 yards of the access trail is overgrown golden rod and weeds. There was several deer beds in this area. The property is posted and has a gravel parking area and brush bogged lane. ATV use and camping are allowed for hunting purposes only. See map (yellow circle) for camper parking spot. This hunting lease is loaded with acorns!
